FlexiSearch
– Directory Database |
 |
|
The FlexiSearch
application was designed to provide all the functionality a DA provider
needs to aggregate, manage, optimize and search directory data. Built
expressly for high-speed, high-volume requests, FlexiSearch offers
these distinctive features:
• Multiple information
services driven by a unified data source, simplifying data management
• Acceptance of data in a multitude of formats, allowing new services
to come on line sooner
• Expanded fields linking to complex data, making enhanced services
possible
• Native proximity search support to find the closest listings for
location-based services
• Powerful search tools supporting diverse requests from operators,
automation systems, Internet browsers and messaging protocols.

Among the benefits
these new features deliver are the ability to combine dynamic and
non-dynamic information, such as integrating listing data with driving
directions, traffic conditions, weather information and maps; better
ability to measure demand, enabling operators to adjust their business
strategy more easily; database consolidation, which can reduce costs;
and greater ability to segment customer sets.
FlexiSearch’s XML-defined database schemas allow a company to
uniquely meet its data storage requirements. FlexiSearch supports
the standard IBM and ISx record formats of the past, in addtion to
customer defined well-formed data record formats popular today. As the
data is loaded, FlexiSearch tools edit, clean and optimize the records
for easy access and high-speed retrieval.
With FlexiSearch, increasingly complex searches can be constructed
using an “AND”, “OR”, range and “best of” logic. Result sets can be
further refined through filtering technology. Included with the base
search support are all-new geo-spatial functions that enable
integration of the user’s content with location-based services.
FlexiSearch provides complete scalability, redundancy, and worldwide
Unicode language support.
